“We are never so vulnerable as when we love”
— Sigmund Freud
Welcome to my website. I’m a qualified, BACP registered Couple and individual therapist. I trained for four years at Tavistock Relationships, where I gained my clinical qualifications.
As a Couple Therapist I help couples to make sense of their difficulties together. Most couples come feeling stuck in patterns of relating that are unhelpful, often blaming each other for the situation they are in. I can help to reduce the blame and bring awareness to the dynamics at play that keep the negative cycles in operation.
I also work with individuals who want to explore issues relevant to their relationships, but who want to do this one on one.
I welcome clients whether you are single, married, living together, separated, gay, bi/pan sexual, queer, straight or transgender, and regardless of your ethnic background, race or class.
Some problems couples may bring include:
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, understand why you act or react to each other in the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, healthier choices moving forward.
Life presents many challenges, and at times, we may need support in facing them, whether as individuals or within our relationships. As a Couple Therapist, my role is to listen with sensitivity, empathy and without bias. I provide a confidential, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of relating.
For individuals and couples, therapy offers an opportunity to gain deeper self-awareness, process past experiences, and navigate personal challenges with greater clarity. Together, we can work towards healthier communication, deeper connection, and a greater understanding.
My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, which means we explore how past experiences shape present relationships and behaviours. This reflective process is not about quick solutions but about developing meaningful insights that empower you to create lasting change. We focus on how unconscious processes can influence how we think and relate to the world and aim to make these more conscious, in order to understand ourselves and each other better.
“Love is not just admiration for strength it is also tolerance for weakness”
— Melanie Klein
